Nose

You can smell the tropical fruits from miles away. Lots of pineapple, a fair bit of toffee. Not a lot of spiciness or bite to speak of. Malty, some oats. Vanilla shortbread.

Palate

Not a very big entrance. Oily and smooth. Mostly fruity still. Apples.

Finish

Very floral, a little citric, a little bitter. The fruits are still there, swooping in after a few seconds. Some wood and maybe a little ginger at the tip of the tail.

Had this been packing a bit more heat when entering the palate, it could have been great. Really nice fruity profile with some other qualities thrown in, but there's not enough happening to be completely satisfied with the experience. Higher end of the "good" scale still. A nice, light, smooth whisky that goes down easily and happily.
