As promised! A standard (if there's such a thing with Springbank), core range bottling. 100% sherry casks.

1.3 (Russet muscat)

Nose

Tobacco leaves - a sort of smoky and thick sweetness. Peach, mandarin. A little peppery. Full-bodied!

Palate

Quite sherry forward. The peatiness comes creeping in after a little while ( a welcome creep). There are some floral bits here as well.

Finish

Winey. The peat becomes more campfire-like and dries up the finish a little.

Plenty of complexity, a nice and full oomph. Gorgeous nose, and I feel like a "mere" 46% here is just fine. Still my favorite Springbank!
